Performing at the June edition of #sitawaignited
June's edition of #sitawaignited happened last Saturday, 30th June at my new poetry home, The Business Lounge on the 4th Floor of the Junction. The evening started with a mingle mingle session where everyone was required to mingle with two different people and share their peak and pit moments of the month of June.

We then grabbed our wine glasses and sat back to watch a 30 min documentary on Post Election Violence titled Heal the Nation; (will have give away CDs in the next Sitawa ignited) some reactions on twitter from those in attendance.

After the documentary, we divided into poetry and some music and some of the guest of the night included
1. Number 8 (will have his CDs in the next SitawaIgnited)

2. Tosh

3. Music by Ziki, download her music here http://soundcloud.com/valziki

...and jewelry display by Gorge Nbi

Now on to some good stuff. Like, this weekend was pretty good otherwise!
I skipped over to Sitawa 'Mama Africa' Wafula's poetry event; 'Sitawa Ignited' which was definitely an eye-opening, fun start to my Saturday night. Free wine, heart-wrenching screening of a documentary, poetry, open-mic, good music and we have a winner =D The next edition is on the day after I go back to SA though. Hear my soul weep a little...

Join us for this month's event on July 21st... more pix of the night on the Facebook page
