Pigeon Pose
Good morning beautiful people,

Hope you had a lovely weekend.

Allow me to get all activist in your face; World Health Organization states that health isn't just about the physical but also social and mental. Well I have been doing loads of stretches; physical, mental and spiritual.

My physical stretches have been yoga based ‎with my best so far being the pigeon pose.

...and because I am queen of challenges (or rather queen of making almost everything a challenge), my Yoga Challenge for the year is to get to a handstand which is not really about the handstand but the journey to it(right now I am still sitting, haven't left the ground, the goal is for everything except my palms to be on the ground...we shall overcome, right?)

Spiritually I have been on amazing journey, doing meditation and speaking Bible verses back to myself and God, I am also really digging into the book of Revelation which is a MUST read for everyone (they lied about the 'scary stuff', this book is about unfolding and revealing so so much...you just have to read it to get it). I will be taking a break from it to do my annual Lent digging...Every year, I use the 40 days of Lent (which begins this Wednesday) to do The purpose driven life book by Rick Warren.

This year I am extending the invitation to anyone who'd like to join me in doing the book. Use the tab on the side to let me know if you want to join in, also let me know what your lent plans are, if you have any aaaaand how you are stretching/ challenging yourself.

PS: Stretches and challenges are good, they help us grow, help us discover part of ourselves we didn't know about (both yoga and reading through the book of Revelation make me ache in places I never knew existed). Don't be in a rush to get to the next step or chapter...be in the pain, sometimes listening to your body saying enough for today, sometimes sweet talking it to hold on just a little longer...it is not a race, it is a journey, it is real, it is now...be present, be open, be true
